Elin Nordegren- (soon-to-be-ex) Woods is smiling from ear to ear this July 4th. After spending her 2010 holiday seasons holed away from the public after her “sex-addict” husband, Tiger Woods, was discovered embroiled in one hell of a sex scandal, Elin has finally reached a lucrative divorce settlement that will pay a whopping $750 million – but it’s not without clauses.
Per alleged contractual stipulations, Elin can never speak about Tiger’s multiple sexual affairs, the intimate details of their infidelity-ridden marriage, or the mistresses. Not in books, nor in interviews- shoot, not even on Oprah. Additionally, Tiger must not introduce his children to single women or have them present when his visitations occur. Other reports suggest that joint-custody is still being worked out.
One expert claims this steep $750 million settlement is not about the divorce, so much as a business expense. Tiger’s team is interested in controlling his image – and maintaining as many sponsors and endorsements as possible – so if it takes a couple hundred million to retain billions … I’m sure you see where we’re going?
They always say it’s “cheaper to keep her,” but in this case, it might just be a lesson well-learned and written off in business taxes.
